Matsumoto Hotel Kagetsu, founded in 1887, is Matsumoto's oldest hotel. The building exterior, lobby, restaurants, and shops underwent renovation in April 2016, featuring classic furnishings. Traditional Japanese folk craft furniture from Matsumoto is integrated into the hotel decor throughout the guest rooms.
